Michael C. Joseph, Principal
Michael Joseph has been involved with real estate financing since 1982 when he started in the real estate training program of Continental Illinois. In 1984, he moved to Los Angeles to join George Smith Financial Services which started his mortgage brokerage career. In 1985, he moved to San Francisco to open the Northern California office for the company. He has been a mortgage broker in Northern California since then, moving first to E. S. Merriman & Sons and then to Cohen Financial when E.S. Merriman was acquired by Cohen in March of 1999. Over these 18 years, Michael Joseph has arranged approximately $4 billion of real estate loans.
In September, 2002 Michael Joseph joined Matt Moran and Pat Flanagan to form FJM Investments. FJM Investments acquires real estate in Northern California.
Mr. Joseph has been a frequent speaker for organizations such as the Bay Area Mortgage Association, ULI, NAIOP, ICSC and local appraisal, legal and accounting firms. He is a graduate of Lafayette College with an MBA from the Wharton School. He is currently a resident of San Francisco.
