William L. Brizendine, Senior Vice President
Bill Brizendine has been a commercial real estate professional since 1977. He has experience in a wide range of real estate disciplines from which he brings a broad perspective to each capital-raising assignment.
Prior to joining Kearny Capital Partners in 2007, Bill was a director with CBRE Capital Markets (formerly L.J. Melody & Company). From mid-2000 to the end of 2002, he was a Vice President in the Capital Markets Group with Cohen Financial in San Francisco. Before joining Cohen, Bill had been with L.J. Melody & Company and its predecessor, CB Commercial Finance, since 1995.
From 1988 to 1995, Bill was a partner and co-founder of a real estate investment advisory firm in San Francisco, which placed real estate debt and equity investments for institutional clients. From 1984 through 1988, he was a principal in a San Francisco-based regional real estate investment banking firm specializing in securing forward debt and equity financing commitments for real estate developers.
Before moving to the San Francisco Bay area in 1984, Bill was an executive for a southern California building contractor and commercial real estate developer. In that capacity, he formed joint venture real estate development and investment partnerships, and arranged construction and permanent loans for the company’s development activities.
Throughout his real estate finance career, Bill has focused on the perspective of the users of capital. His objective with each assignment is to provide multiple alternatives for his clients through exposure to a wide range of capital sources. Bill has originated, placed and closed financing for projects ranging from strip retail centers to corporate business campuses, employing a variety of capital structures to achieve the client’s goal.
